The purpose of this communication is to provide a status update regarding your request. The Seattle Police Department needs additional time to respond to your request due to we are locating records responsive to your request. As you know, we have reached out to SPD's Human Resource Department to inquire if they have records responsive to your request. To date, we have still received no response. In addition to SPD's HR Department, we have contacted SPD's Training Unit to see if they may have records responsive to your request. SPD's Training Unit recommends that you may want to submit a request to the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission (WSCJTC) as they would have the most accurate documents on who fully completed the academy and received state credentials. SPD's Training records will show who entered the academy for each class but may not reflect who completed the entire academy. SPD's Training Unit will search their records to see if they have any responsive to your request. We will continue to keep you updated. At this time, we will provide records to you on 11/19/2021.
